Santa Muerte is the beloved Goddess of Death and a Folk Saint whose origins date to the Pre-Hispanic period of Mexico.

She is the personification of death, the revered “Lady of the Dead” associated with healing, protection, and safe delivery to the afterlife by her devotees.

Like a Prayer for the Dead, this mixed-media assemblage box is both a nightlight and an altar.
