Here are 3 of the 4 dollies from “the dolls who wait”…
“So, we three are done
and are just waiting for one
to join us and go off to the circus..
We are dressed head to toe…
and are ready to go,
full of promise
and loaded with purpose.”

Often, during this creative process we fall in love with what we make, sometimes before the best ever emerges. Therefore, it is imperative to know how to constructively “murder your darlings” to allow for it’s greatest potential. This is very different than self-sabotage, as it is done with full faith & trust in the process that we are making room for the divine intervention…that something greater than we ever imagined will inevitably emerge.
When you murder your darlings
you are aware of the callings
to uproot those seeds that you’ve sown.
To be reluctantly willing
to continue the tilling
for the treasure that’s yet to be known.

“…we’re left to wait without a word,
unfinished and undressed.
But abandoned feelings are absurd,
because we know we’re blessed.
The time will come when we’ll be made,
but the hours are so long.
And though our plans are all well laid,
the urge to cry is strong.
And so we wait our makers hand,
whose majik will create
our journey into story-land…
where it all is worth the wait.”
